If you want to be in missional ministry, you need training.

Our Resurgence Training Center campuses offer a unique mix of world-class theological teaching and intensely practical ministry wisdom—from pastors and church planters currently in ministry. Re:Train is becoming the primary training mechanism for leaders within many of the world’s most exciting, fruitful, and God-glorifying evangelical movements. Here’s a list of program highlights that really set us apart.

Don’t Take Classes – Take Professors

Our goal since day one has been to bring together the most passionate, influential, brilliant, God-glorifying and movement-shaping leaders of this generation. At Re:Train you will be taught by pastors, theologians, church-planters and authors who are – by God’s grace – shaping global Christian thought.

Affordability & Accessibility

At Re:Train, we are committed to making our programs affordable and accessible to men and women who are leaders in the local church.

Executive Style: The Missional Leadership Program (MLP) is designed to train leaders while keeping them plugged into the local church.  This program can be completed over six weekends and three, one-week courses within the academic year.

Coaching: For students in this program, you will be coached by a seasoned leader in your desired ministry field. For example, if you’re a church planter, you’ll be coached by a church planter. Coaching begins with an honest look at various life accounts; including, Faith, Finances, Family, Service, Priorities and others. Coaching culminates in your developing a clear, defined ministry vision and actionable plan to unroll when you graduate.

Internships: By God’s grace, Mars Hill and the Acts 29 movement is seeing incredible ministry fruit and we invite students to join us on God’s mission. Please consider joining us for a year as interns – serving in the trenches of dynamic, movement leading churches – while pursuing your degree. Re:Train is a training ground for church leaders and offers an opportunity to hone your skills, network and learn the essentials of successful churches and leaders. There are opportunities to serve in local campuses, central operations, in worship, media and communications and others. If you’re interested in an internship, please indicate on your application and we’ll work to arrange it as possible.

Housing: For students pursuing full-time degrees at Re:Train, we will work to find you host homes. We are particularly committed to finding places for MLP students who travel in each weekend to ease the burden of travel. As such, we are encouraging the church body to rally around you, their future leaders, to open their homes. Please indicate your desire on your application.

Scholarships: At the Resurgence Training Center, scholarships are available for students who are members of Mars Hill Church. Likewise, any student who is a member of one of the over 400 Acts 29 Network churches will also receive a scholarship. (See “Programs” page for tuition fees). This affirms our committment to the local church and our earnest desire to see the lost saved, churches planted, leaders equipped, believers matured, and God glorified.
